Join AALHA for our monthly Caregiver CE class regarding wound care. NCIA and In-Service certificates are available. Attendees will learn:

  • Identify why fungal infections are an important topic in assisted living facilities
  • Understand variable fungal species
  • Understand that fungus is part of the normal flora
  • See examples of common fungal infections in patients
  • Learn about different medications used to treat fungal infections
  • Learn common drug-drug interactions
  • Learn important counseling points when administering antifungals
  • Identify an in-house treatment vs. an emergency
