This month's AALHA Homeowner CE class focuses on a critical topic: insurance. Join us as we welcome to the virtual podium Mary E. Brinckerhoff. Mary has over 45 years of experience in the Corporate Ownership/Management Sector as well as Insurance and Surety industries. Currently, she is a partner with the Carefree Sunrise Group LLC insurance agency, representing 175 carriers with a focus on Commercial Insurance Industry. Carefree Sunrise Group grew to a $2.6 Million agency in their first year and are on track to be a $6 Million agency in less than 5 years. Prior to joining Carefree Sunrise Group, Mary managed her family corporation since 1980 and then owned and operated as CEO independent insurance agencies on the East Coast from 1995 to 2013, managing over 42 employees and 6 locations within New York and three locations in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Florida. She was the Underwriter for our Surety Division of the Agency Network working with clients for construction projects in the multi million dollar sector. This included financial analysis, business continuation plans, reviewing contracts ,etc. In addition, she's been responsible for all aspect of the Surety Industry representing many carriers including Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Safeco, General Accident, Seaboard and many others. Throughout this venture, she has developed a wealth of knowledge in a multitude of industries, including (but not limited to) property management of multi-locations (lessors risk), construction, manufacturing, healthcare, municipalities, educational facilities, entertainment, habitational facilities, transportation industries, automotive industries as well as agricultural exposures.
