This month's AALHA Caregiver CE class will focus on Ostomy Care in the Group Home Setting.

Participants receive education as well view instructional videos on:
1. General Care Tips
2. Lock and Roll Drainable pouch tips
3. Lubricating Deodorant Care tips
4. Ostomy Routine Care tips
5. Ostomy Peristomal Skin Care
6. Ostomy Care Checklist

NCIA and In-Service certificates are available.

Meet The Speaker: 

Rebecca Ahrens RN, BSN, DCS has been with Summit Healthcare Services since 2016, and currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Services. She developed Summit’s Home Health Division, and since 2018 has been the DCS of Summit Home Health LLC. Her clinical expertise in high volume wound care, colostomy/ileostomy care, PICC line infusion management, and chronic care disease  management allows her to treat her patients with excellent care. Her goal in healthcare is to give the elderly population the care they require, safely at home, outside of an inpatient setting. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience gained throughout her career with others, and hopes to provide a greater impact across her community.
