- How to reach out to the Ombudsman when issues arise.
- Tips for resolving concerns and improving communication.
- Ways to ensure compliance while providing quality care.

Danielle Sanders
Ombudsman Specialist
Danielle Sanders has been working with older adults for over 20 years in various disciplines of the healthcare industry. She was a caregiver and CNA for many years. She also has worked as a manager in Assisted Living She was with the Area Agency on Aging Region 1, Phoenix as an ombudsman and was hired as the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Training and Outreach Specialist in February 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts. Danielle graduated with a Master of Science in Aging and Health Innovation from Arizona State University in 2023. In 2024 Danielle was invited to join the advisory board for the ASU Masters of Science Program in Aging. She is a member of the American Society on Aging, ASA and was recently selected to serve on their Advisory Board for the Department of Aging and Culture. Danielle is also a member of the Gerontological Society of America, GSA, and is certified as a professional gerontologist. She enjoys social dancing, reading, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
