Destiny Ruiz

Rose Law Group
Destiny is passionate about helping clients and team members succeed through clear communication and a deep understanding of the legislative process. With experience in lobbying, research, and spotting opportunities in the Arizona Legislature, she’s committed to building strong relationships and delivering results that matter. A proud graduate of the University of Arizona, Destiny took part in the Arizona Legislative Internship Program during her final semester. She worked at the Arizona House of Representatives, where she collaborated with the communications and media team. From managing social media to drafting press releases and speeches, and even tracking legislation, Destiny got a hands-on look at how policy takes shape. After graduating, she began her career with the Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Department, where she played a vital role in case management – placing youth in safe environments, monitoring compliance, and navigating the complexities of the court system. Her passion for policy and advocacy led her to Husch Blackwell Strategies, a nationally recognized lobbying +rm, where she has worked alongside Liz Goodman ever since. Now at Rose Law Group, she leverages her experience to drive meaningful legislative change and support clients in achieving their policy goals. Destiny grew up immersed in the world of assisted living. Her mothers owns and operates a home in Tucson, where Destiny spent much of her adolescence playing, keeping residents company, and witnessing firsthand the dedication it takes to ensure their health and happiness. This experience instilled in her a deep appreciation for the industry, making her work with AALHA especially meaningful. Outside of her professional pursuits, Destiny enjoys reading, playing video games, exploring the art of film photography, and experimenting with new recipes. She shares these adventures with her husband and their two beloved dogs: Baloo the Bear and Guinevere Lorraine.
