Class 1: Memory Care Training with GreenWell Health
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Define cognitive impairment, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Overview of common neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's, Parkinson's)
- Identify the common signs and symptoms of cognitive impairments in assisted living residents.
- Understand the impact of cognitive impairment on residents' daily lives, behavior, and emotional well-being.
- Recognize strategies for effective communication with residents who have cognitive impairments.
- Implement best practices for providing care and support to residents with cognitive impairments.
- Utilize available resources and support networks for individuals with cognitive impairments and their caregivers.
