Join AALHA for our monthly Caregiver CE class. NCIA and In-Service certificates are available.
This class helps caregivers understand the grieving process and provides practical tools for coping with loss in both personal and professional caregiving settings. Participants will learn healthy ways to process emotions, support others experiencing grief, and build resilience while continuing to provide compassionate care.
- Understanding the stages and emotional responses associated with grief
- Recognizing common signs of grief and how they may affect daily functioning
- Identifying healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms during the grieving process
- Learning practical strategies for processing loss and managing difficult emotions
- Supporting residents, families, and coworkers who are experiencing grief
- Understanding the impact of cumulative loss and grief in caregiving professions
- Developing self-care practices that promote healing, resilience, and emotional well-being
- Learning when and how to seek additional support and community resources
